Ever since its inception over a decade ago, in January 1990, the Indian American Friendship Council has come a long way crossing many landmarks. Some of the memorable ones include. The day the council went national on March 29, 1996 a Galaxy of members of the India Caucus, congressional representatives, senate members and many policy makers attended this gathering.
The council hosted its second national conference on July 28th 1998, on the eve of 51st India independence anniversary at Washington DC. Messages of goodwill and best wishes for the continuing success of IAFC have poured in from eminent personalities. Including US president Bill Clinton, Indian Prime minister A B Vajpayee, Indian home minister L K Advani and Senators and congressmen.
